The debate, which was chaired by the Conservative MP and former pharmacy minister Steve Brine, explored pharmacies' prospects in a healthcare landscape that will have significantly changed once the Health and Care Bill enters into legislation. Under the plans, commissioners and providers of NHS services will link with local authorities and other stakeholders, bringing together community, hospital, mental health and social care services.
