Over the past weeks pharmacy teams have proven – if proof were needed – what an essential role they play on the frontline of primary care.
It is heartbreaking to see their heroic efforts met with abuse from some members of the public. There have been numerous media reports detailing an unacceptable rise in abuse towards pharmacy staff, and our exclusive survey reveals just how widespread the problem is.
Our findings also show a dramatic rise in prescription workload and demonstrate that urgent action is needed on PPE and funding. NHS England, take note.
